The anti-rift lattice threaded through Nox reacts differently depending on which frequency branch is dominant in a fighter:

  • AETHER tends to reinforce lattice nodes, stabilizing local rift edges and reducing spontaneous shade bleed.
  • VOID erodes rift boundaries when overused, risking localized collapses or sudden enlargements of existing tears.
  • FLARE burns through lesser shades quickly but can superheat rift edges, causing unstable “flicker” zones.
  • ECHO records and replays rift noise; prolonged exposure can create phantom afterimages of past incidents.
  • GLITCH disrupts lattice diagnostics, making it harder for RIX-0N to read true rift stability in a sector.
  • SPECTRUM refracts anti-rift signals; proper tuning can seal microfractures, improper tuning can splinter them.
  • NOCTIS-ANOMALY is flagged as a unique outlier. Full effects on the lattice remain redacted in upper-tier files.

Field handlers are instructed to treat rift-adjacent matches as high risk if multiple VOID or GLITCH-aligned fighters are present, especially when combined with unstable emotional frequencies such as DESPAIR or OBSESSION.
